SubWallet Receives Polkadot Treasury for Milestone #1 & #2
We are proud to announce that SubWallet has received Polkadot Treasury for building a user-friendly Web3 Multiverse Gateway for Polkadot and Kusama ecosystem. As of today, our two proposals for milestone #1 and #2 have been widely supported by the community and approved by the Council.
Polkadot Treasury
The Polkadot Treasury, whose funds are collected from slashing, transaction fees, staking inefficiency and parathread fees, aim to allocate DOT to projects or activities that contribute to and benefit the ecosystem. Within the spend period of 24 days, if the treasury is not spent on project proposals, tips and bounties, then all the funds allocated for that duration will be burnt.
SubWallet’s Approved Proposals
On June 15, SubWallet’s first proposal on Milestone #1 was tabled via Motion #222 and approved by the Polkadot Council. In Milestone #1, SubWallet focuses on developing a more user-friendly interface for basic wallet functions, including creating, restoring and importing accounts; sending and receiving funds; managing account balance, crowdload portfolio and NFTs.
After completing Milestone #1, we expand and veer towards integration. NFTs on RMRK and Unique, EVM assets on Moonbeam and Moonriver, and Substrate Connect are important pieces that are integrated. Our second proposal was tabled via Motion #253 and approved on September 5.
Moving Forward
SubWallet will advance the security layer in the next months and extend our in-app features. The next milestones are in the works; SubWallet mobile version launching at the end of Q3 will provide even smoother user experience. Users can swap, stake and manage tokens with their smartphones while rest assured that their funds are safe with our integration with cold wallets.
